About

Aditi Sonar is an Indian designer who grew up in the UK, with work rooted in an exploration of her personal nostalgia. She reimagines vintage silhouettes through the dual influences of London and South Asia, creating sustainable lingerie that is playful, distinctive, and made to last.
Sustainability & Production
At Aditi Sonar, we’re committed to creating beautiful pieces with care—for both people and the planet. Everything is handmade in small batches.
Materials
We prioritise sustainable, low-impact materials wherever possible, including:
- Natural cottons
- Vintage and deadstock lace
- Upcycled fabrics and embellishments
When non-sustainable components are used, we’ll always specify this transparently.
Production
All our pieces are produced in very small batches or on a made-to-order basis. Production is either done by hand in Aditi’s London studio or through a small, ethically-minded manufacturing partner.
Our manufacturing partner maintains fair working conditions, offering competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing training for their staff. Many of their workers have stayed with the company for over a decade—a testament to the positive, respectful environment they’ve cultivated. They’ve also introduced a profit-sharing and equity model to attract and retain skilled talent, reflecting a progressive approach to worker well-being in the garment industry.
Packaging
All packaging is fully recyclable and made from recycled materials wherever possible—because sustainability doesn’t stop at the product.
